Whenever my band recorded with Mike, he created an awesome environment for us to be comfortable and creative. It’s apparent he built his studio with a ton of care and attention to detail, making for a fast and consistent process. Having an engineer like Mike, who is always ready to capture great sounds as they unfold, is invaluable to us in the studio.

Wildlife has recorded MANY songs at Michael’s studio, and he always brings the thoughtfulness and consideration so inherent in his personality and threads it throughout his work. I’m always genuinely impressed by his workflow. Years of configuration have resulted in a simple yet consistent approach that removes the frustrations that can happen in studios. When executing an idea, the pathway is clear: it just “works”, and the sound quality is always fantastic. The attention he gives artists is rare; his passion for tonality and getting at the core of a song will always carry you through.
Mike is THE guy! He’s exactly what you want from an engineer/mixer: talent, creativity, knowledge, and “vibe”. Every session I’ve done with Mike has been a good hang and turned out sounding fantastic. I couldn’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for someone who puts the music first and wants to work with you to realize your vision.

I would gladly recommend Mike and Threshold Recording to anyone looking for recording studio services. He is a passionate and friendly guy, and he is willing to go the extra mile for anyone. My band did some live, off-the-floor performance videos in his studio space, and they turned out great. This was a complex set-up with a lot of things going on at once. We also had some great sessions recording drums to tape—this was surprisingly efficient and was totally worth it for the vibes. Mike has really fair prices for the value you get from working with him.
I started with Mike back in 2016 with my band, Delta Days, and haven’t stopped since. It’s always a pleasure to step foot into his studio and continue to work with the gear that is there and the talent that he has. Can’t wait to be back soon!

I am so incredibly grateful for Mike. Where to start? He has engineered and produced songs for my band, Dark Mean, for over a decade. I’ve been collaborating with Michael for 15 years now.
